PDN Custom Media has launched two new contest opportunities for a variety of photographers. (We notice that their deadlines are coming up fast.)

Here are the details:

Objects of Desire
A competition celebrating photographs of the people, objects and spaces artists truly feel affection for. What do you love?

We’re looking for images of the luxurious, the beautiful, and the enviable people, places and things in your world.  A great prize will be awarded in each category (maybe you’re looking for an iPad2, or some new Adobe CS tools?).  Art producers from Carmichael Lynch and Fallon, a director of photography from Wonderful Machine, and an agent from Jed Root Inc. will will judge the contest entries.  Contest rules, terms and prize information can be found at www.pdnobjectsofdesire.com

PDN The Scene
Event and Nightlife Photography
The new hot party, the red carpet or a super sweet 16 – whether you’ve captured a celebrity, a charming street scene or a night out on the town
with your crew, PDN is calling for your best event photography. Professionals, amateurs and students may enter. (A professional and an amateur first-place will be chosen in each of the five contest categories.) Your work will be judged by party aficionados from Time Out New York, ArtistsWanted.org, People magazine and Gawker. Rules, terms, prizes, jury members and more can be found at www.pdnthescene.com
