PDN Video Pick: Idiot with a Tripod
New York photographer Jamie Stuart has produced an impressionistic (and impressive) short of the December 26 blizzard which struck parts of the East Coast of the US. Stuart’s film, which pays homage to Dziga Vertov’s 1929 silent film classic, “Man with a Movie Camera,” also stands as a good lesson in the art of movie making. And Stuart managed to do all the shooting and post production, with minimal equipment, in just over 24 hours. He explained to film critic Roger Ebert how he did it.
